* In the event of a tie, the first user that reached the highest point total will be declared the winner.
Contacting the Winner
The National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C) Capture the Flag (CTF) Team will contact the winner using the email address provided when they registered on the CTF website on the first business day after the competition ends. The NW3C CTF Team will ask for the winner's permission to provide their name and email address to the competition sponsor who will be providing the prize. The winner will have 72 hours to respond. If no response is received within 72 hours, the prize will be awarded to the next highest scoring user.
The NW3C CTF Team, after receiving permission from the winner, will provide the competition sponsor with the winner's name, email address, and confirmation that they have been declared the winner. The competition sponsor will handle the issuing of the prize(s).
General Terms
A prize of nominal financial value may be offered to the winner of a Capture the Flag competition for certain weeks. NW3C has no financial interest in the prize donation. NW3C will contact the competition winner within one week to obtain contact information to be passed by NW3C to the competition sponsor who is the prize donor. All future contact and coordination will be between the competition sponsor and competition winner. NW3C assumes no financial responsibility or liability arising from communication or interactions between the competition sponsor and competition winner.
